Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj is a generous queen. Just ask her fans.
After launching her “Regret in Your Tears” challenge — for which winners will fly out to be with her at the Billboard Music Awards — a fan posed a challenge of his own for Nicki: “Well you wanna pay for my tuition?”
Minaj, who attended New York’s La Guardia High School, was game. “Show me straight A’s that I can verify w/ur school and I’ll pay it,” she replied. “Who wants to join THAT contest?!?!Dead serious. Shld I set it up?”
Almost instantly, fan requests poured in, and the “Light My Body Up” star delivered. When one fan asked for $1,000, she replied: “That’s it? I’ll send it tmrw. dm me ur bank info babe. Next!” Another needed $500 for books, and another asked for $800 for courses and books. “Done,” Nicki wrote. “Dm ur bank info.”
Members of Nicki’s “Kingdom” sent pleas for student loan repayments as well. One said he owed over $1,100. “Send me ur info,” she wrote back. “I’ll pay it.”
This continued for about an hour as inquiries for a portion of tuition, books, supplies, and a $2,000 Wacom tablet came in. The latter was the final winner. “Ok you’re the last one for the night,” she replied. “Dm ur info.”
But there’s more to come. “Ok u guys. It’s been fun,” said Nicki. “Let me make those payments tmrw then see if I have any money left [laughing emoji]. I’ll do some more in a month or 2.”
