Since being injured and held without bail we haven't heard anything from the rapper other than statements from his lawyer.
Today that changes as his team releases a brand new project named Free Troy Ave. The 11-track project includes a freestyle from the Brooklyn rapper as well as his first words addressing the shooting.
Some of the lyrics include:
“Pu*** nigga tried to assassinate me, I took the gun from him and turned the tables ’round like a G."
He also said some words about his best friend Banga who was killed in the shooting.
"I
lost my best friend," he said. "And the sad part about it is I didn't
notice he was my best friend until I lost him. And that shit hurts worse
than these bullets when I got shot. Plus you have all these other
elements out of my control which ain't doing nothing but pouring salt in
the wound. Can't mourn properly for my nigga. I don't remember the last
time I cried. My heart filled with tears I can't even shed because it
looks weak."
